Why is it that when we look into someone’s
eyes, it sometimes feels as though
we’re looking into a vastness
which seems almost infinite?

(NNS) Hector Klumpp puts Nibbling News Service On the Map
Spring 2008
By Michelle Bean, Editor in Chief
Greetings! I’ve been with Nibbling News Service since I graduated from Nibbling Community College, longer ago than I care to admit.
My job was pretty straightforward, covering all things Nibbling, until the spring of 2008, when Hector emerged from a few hours in a storage closet at Nibbling Fight Club with an epiphany he called Nihilism Lite. My husband Clifford, Hector’s best friend, and I heard him out and saw the lite light.
I have a nose for news, and my husband Clifford is a visionary. We both sensed that this epiphany would change the world. So, Clifford and I encouraged Hector to begin writing (something he was obsessively fond of to begin with) and put some meat on the bones of this epiphany of his.
Hector is a very studious, methodical guy, as you’ll no doubt glen from this website, with solid researching skills. He put his nose to the grindstone, and soon I had in my hands some of his candid, engaging writings, telling of all that had fallen off his back, and all was in his newly free heart. As I read, I knew this was the beginning of something big.
Our first step was to start a blog, and we got in a few blog networks friendly to our nihilistic ways. As Hector wrote, and our traffic began to pick up, I began interviewing Hector on video, which is an even stronger format than writing for him—he is very good in an interview, and I a very good interviewer. We knew we had something special going, and I began posting these “chats” about nihilism and the meaning of life on YouTube.
The response was overwhelming. Responding to the emails that poured in daily was soon out of Hector’s reach. With our tribe in place, and with my encouragement, we reworked and launched our blog and YouTube postings around our newly minted name (my idea)—The Nihilist Lites of America (NLA).
I got Nibbling News Service (NNS) an online presence and wrote articles myself too, about Hector and his discoveries. Soon the traffic to NNS riveled our blog. The Nihilist Lites of America had gone viral, and we hooked our star to that wagon and suddenly found our little NNS a star in the cluttered internet sky. I guess you could say, we have our little piece of the pie.
